A Suesjoy original riddle for ya!

What did the alien say when it landed in Germany?

Take me to your lederhosen!

Ok, in the US we mispronounce lederhosen...so it only works for ignorant Americans (comme moi). ;)

Here is Rufus channeling the spirit of Judy Garland. He is performing "Release the Stars" on Letterman.

Release the Stars

Why do you keep all your stars in from your studio on Melrose Avenue?
You have locked all of your assets up in life-long contracts to you
Didn't you know that old Hollywood is over?

Oh, can't you see all the good that celebrity can do for those in the dark?
Yes of course, I am speaking in metaphors for something more in your heart
Didn't you know that old Hollywood is over?

So why not just release the gates and let them all come out?
Remember that without them there would be no Paramount
No paramount need to hold on to what isn't yours
Release the stars

The more that you fight, then the more they will scrutinize and realize just your size
And believe me, you are no match for the public that has seen the whites of your eyes
Didn't you know that old Hollywood is over?

Old Hollywood is over
So why not just release the gates and let them all come out?
Remember that without them there would be no Paramount
No paramount need to hold on to what isn't yours
Release the stars

Release the stars, release your love, release the stars
Release your love, 'cause Hollywood is over
Why do you keep all your stars in from your studio on Melrose Avenue?

Speaking of Judy Garland, there is an an exciting new group on Yahoo called The Judy Garland Experience. The group features ever changing and always amazing audio files. Currently, along with some of Judy's 1950's radio work we are featuring full length concerts of her with the original Rat Pack, her 1967 free concert on the Boston Common, songs and interviews from her aborted role in Valley Of The Dolls, and much more. The group also features rare photo's, lively discussions, and the most eclectic and interesting gathering of Garland fans anywhere!
The group features fans of all levels, new and hardcore, Garland family members, other celebrities, people who knew Judy, author's historian's, film maker's, and more! The only thing missing is you! Please stop by our little Judyville and check it out, you may never want to leave!

Thanks for your wishes and prayer for my mum. Much appreciated, you are a sweetheart. Thankfully, she took it lightheartedly, but it almost ruined her holiday. She's a tough cookie though and has a great sense of humour.

I know I haven't blogged for a gajillion years, but you can understand. I only go to Rachel's blog and sometimes leave a comment, so I won't lose completely touch. We be back in blogland (with a vengeance!) hopefully mid-June, circa in time for The'Oo at Wembley.

Love ya lots,
xoxoxo
and thanks again

Hi Sue... thanks for the comment on my poem. If you want to show Pete, you can be my guest! :-)

I'll be back. I love your profile picks -- very cool. I can identify with a lot of your faves....

Hi Sue,
I think the fabulous Rufus is on the fabulous "The Hour" with my boyfriend George Strombo next week or the week after. Looking forward to looking at and listening to him.

Sue,

Oh now I’m totally embarrassed. But thanks for thinking my poem was worthy enough of “publication”.

Very sweet of you! :-)

Don't worry, Sue. I'm extremely ADDish too. I'll start a task, get distracted, start something else, get distracted, etc, etc, etc. (I never used to be this way!!)

But this novel will keep you entranced! It's a joy to read.

-eternal Lucy (oh, I'm so embarrassed!! LOL!)

blue-haired like Elvis fans... you're funny!

I was thinking something similar today -- am I pitiful or what? Will we in 20 years pilgrimage to Pete's old stomping grounds?
